For over the past 17 summers, thousands of college students, single and married young adults from all over the greater Houston area gathered together weekly seeking to connect with God and with each other through relevant Bible teaching and dynamic worship at Metro Bible Study.
In 1994 a few young single adults dreamed of a place that young single adults from all over the Houston Metro-plex could come to a weekly place where they could:
Metro Bible Study was birthed from this simple vision. Originally targeting just young single adults, today the Bible study has also been embraced by college students and young married adults.
Today MetroLIVE is truly a 20’s and 30’s generational Life Application Bible Study that features great live worship set in a comfortable, safe and enjoyable atmosphere.
Past communicators have included: the original speaker Dave Edwards, Todd Wagner, Scott Crenshaw, Gregg Matte, Ted Beasley, Wes Hamilton, Matt Chandler, Ben Stuart, Jeff Mangum, Matt Carter, Steve Stroope, Voddie Baucham, and Curtis Jones.
Past worship leaders have included: original worship leaders Caedmon’s Call, Watermark, Robbie Seay, Jaime Smith, Among Thorns, The Smith Band, Micah Dene, Matt Brouwer, Bruce Clinton, Zach Hendricks, Roger Cullins and Tommy Lynch.
Past special guests: Ginny Owens, Bebo Norman, David Crowder Band, Andrew Peterson, The Fury, The Normals, Chris Tomlin, FFH, Charlie Hall, Maple Street, Nickel & Dime, Point of Grace and Nichole Nordeman.
This summer MetroLIVE will continue its effort to create an environment where people can connect with God and with each other. MetroLIVE will continue to have a missional focus both locally and globally. Each week you will have an opportunity outlive your life in a tangible way.
We invite you to come and connect. Come and worship. Come and be a part of something bigger than yourself.
